Nigeria’s Super Eagles have made a significant leap in the latest FIFA men’s world ranking, moving up from 39th to 36th position.

This upgrade also reflects their progress in Africa, where they’ve climbed from sixth to fourth position.

The Eagles now trail behind Morocco, Africa’s top-ranked team at 13th globally, followed by Senegal at 20th and Egypt at 30th. Other notable movements include Benin Republic dropping to 95th, while Rwanda jumped to 126th and Libya fell to 122nd.

On the global stage, Argentina still holds the top spot, but their lead over France and Spain has narrowed. England, Brazil, and Belgium retain their positions, while Portugal and Italy made notable climbs within the top 10.

Here’s a snapshot of the top 10 teams in the latest FIFA ranking:

  • 1st: Argentina
  • 2nd: France
  • 3rd: Spain
  • 4th: England
  • 5th: Brazil
