Shakira & Burna Boy Donate “Dai Dai” Proceeds to FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund
Global music icons Shakira and Burna Boy are using music to make a global impact with their newly released FIFA anthem, “Dai Dai.”
The powerful collaboration, announced as the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is more than just a football anthem. Shakira revealed that 100% of the proceeds generated from the song will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund an initiative focused on improving access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
According to reports, every stream and video view of “Dai Dai” will contribute directly to the global charity effort, helping underserved children gain access to quality education and sports development programs.
The song blends Shakira’s iconic Latin-pop energy with Burna Boy’s globally celebrated Afrobeats sound, creating a vibrant multicultural anthem that celebrates unity, football, and hope. Fans have already praised the collaboration online, with many calling it a potential successor to Shakira’s legendary 2010 World Cup hit, “Waka Waka.”
FIFA and Global Citizen are aiming to raise $100 million through the education initiative before the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. The campaign will support grassroots organizations, school programs, and youth football development projects across more than 200 countries.
“Dai Dai” also marks another major global achievement for Burna Boy, who becomes one of the few Nigerian artists to feature on an official FIFA World Cup anthem. The release further highlights Afrobeats’ growing influence on the international stage.
