Nigerian street-pop star Zinoleesky has released a brand-new single titled ‘Nostalgia’, marking his first official track under his newly launched imprint, Zinodict Music.

The nearly three-minute record, which dropped on Friday across major streaming platforms, signals a significant turning point in the singer’s career following his apparent exit from Marlian Records, the label owned by Naira Marley.

A check confirms the song was released under Zinodict Music, further fueling reports that the artist has quietly parted ways with Marlian Records after about six years.

Produced by AJ Productions, ‘Nostalgia’ showcases Zinoleesky’s signature blend of melody and street-inspired lyricism, with romantic themes layered alongside confident lines — including a reference to billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.

The release comes months after speculation in November 2025 about a possible rift between the singer and his former label. At the time, Zinoleesky publicly dismissed the rumours and reaffirmed his loyalty.

Born Oniyinde Azeez, the singer began his music journey as a teenager, gaining early attention through freestyle videos that went viral in 2017. His rising popularity led to his signing with Marlian Records in December 2019.

He went on to release his debut EP Chrome Eccentric, followed by Grit & Lust (2022), which featured collaborations with Omah Lay and Ayra Starr. His debut album Gen Z dropped in April 2025, further cementing his place in Nigeria’s music scene.

With ‘Nostalgia’, Zinoleesky appears to be ushering in a new era — one defined by independence and artistic evolution.
