In an age when enduring marital commitments are increasingly rare, it becomes a heart-warming milestone to celebrate a Pearl Anniversary – 30th wedding anniversary!

Today marks the joyful celebration of the 30th wedding anniversary of Mr. Peter Jensen and Mrs. Tammy Jensen – three unbroken decades defined by devotion to each other, emboldened love, unwavering faith, patience, understanding, shared commitment, and quiet strength that has weathered every season and circumstance, and emerged even more radiant. Suffice it to say that the 30th wedding anniversary of Mr. Peter Jensen and Mrs. Tammy Jensen stands as a luminous testament to covenant love, intellectual partnership, inspired leadership, commitment to uplifting others, and unwavering devotion to God’s call, culminating in their influential work across continents.

Married on 16th February, 1996, the Jensens began their life together as scholars and dreamers, united not only by affection and intellectual passion but by a shared reverence for eternal truth, self-discovery, and unwavering faith. In 2000, both graduated from Utah State University – Tammy earning her degree in Family and Consumer Science with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, and Peter in Political Science.

It was during these formative years that Peter’s love for the American Founding Principles – its philosophy, selfless sacrifice for the nation, and sacred ideals, which became a shared intellectual inheritance within their marriage, spurred him to answer the patriotic call to serve America as a commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force (USAF).

Commissioned through Officer Training, he entered active duty with the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Officer. His career would include advanced study culminating in a master’s degree in Foreign Relations, along with deployments to Bosnia and Iraq, and assignments in Germany and England. Through seasons of distance and duty, Tammy remained the steady heart of their home, embodying strength, faith, and grace.

In 2002, after a period of patient hope, the Jensens’ deepest longing for parenthood was fulfilled with the adoption of their first daughter. Born in Philadelphia, the cradle of American liberty and the birthplace of the United States Declaration of Independence, her arrival into the Jensens’ family was nothing short of providential. Their joy overflowed! Two years later, the Jensens welcomed their second daughter, and two years after that the family was blessed with a third daughter. Their home became a sanctuary of love, learning, music, faith, and a role model to many.

Guided by divine promptings, the Jensens embraced a greater calling to God’s work – an unmistakable call to dedicate their lives more fully to God’s service through selfless services to humanity. They accepted that charge with humility, understanding that the task before them was far greater than themselves.

Resolved to be the primary architects of their children’s formation, they began homeschooling – laying foundations not merely of academics, but of character and conviction. Their vision soon expanded beyond their own household as they established and led a private school rooted in classical education, drawing from Montessori principles and the Socratic method.

At the center of their educational mission emerged the leadership curriculum, Who I Really Am (WIRA) – a transformative program, inspirationally guided, which ignited remarkable change in students, teachers, and families alike. What began as a classroom initiative soon expanded into homes, empowering mothers and strengthening family culture and principles. The results are profound and far-reaching; the WIRA program proved a powerful catalyst for positive character development and change.

In 2021, the Jensens once again answered a higher summons – this time to Africa. They first visited Ghana and then Nigeria. In Africa, their horizons widened, and their vision deepened. They witnessed with awe as ‘Who I Really Am’ (WIRA) got embraced with enthusiasm and hope. What they had nurtured for years is now blossoming on a global scale, carrying the promise of generational impact and transformation.

As they celebrate thirty years of marriage, the Jensens are being warmly and awesomely appreciated in Nigeria by the Arch Royale/LIFT Nigeria Team led by Amb. Solomon Adodo. With heartfelt admiration, resounding felicitations to the Jesens, and immense gratitude to God, the Arch Royale/LIFT Nigeria Team – Amb. Solomon Adodo, Mr. Taiwo Adeniran, Mr. Bola Alabi, Mrs. Queen Chigbu, and Comrade Rikki Nwajiofor join countless others across the globe in honouring a couple whose lives exemplify faithfulness, humility, courage, selflessness, and visionary leadership. In a collective statement, the Nigerian team expressed profound gratitude for the couple’s invaluable contributions towards uplifting the lives of numerous Nigerians: “Peter and Tammy Jensen embody the spirit of selfless service and inspiration. Thirty years on, Peter and Tammy Jensen stand not merely as husband and wife but as co-labourers in a divine mission – educators, mentors, parents, and philanthropists. Their story is one of steady devotion, sacred trust, and love refined through service.

In celebrating this pearl anniversary, we celebrate more than a marriage. We celebrate a legacy still unfolding – one built on faith, fortified by sacrifice, and destined to bless generations yet to come. The Jensens continue to inspire through their unwavering faith and global outreach, proving that a shared purpose and prosperity can create ripples of positive change across borders.

The Department of State Services, DSS, has filed a charge against the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai over his alleged involvement in wiretapping the telephone lines of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

The three-count charge, marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/99/2026 was filed early on Monday before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The secret police accused the former governor of breaching the Cybercrimes Prohibition Act, (2024), and the Nigerian Communications Act (2003.) 

Counts in the charge read:

“That you, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, adult, male, on 13th February, 2026, while appearing as a guest on Arise TV station’s Prime Time Programme in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this court, did admit during the interview that you and your cohorts unlawfully intercepted the phone communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 12(1) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Amendment, Act, 2024.

“That you, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, adult, male, on 13th February, 2026, while appearing as a guest on Arise TV station’s Prime Time Programme in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this court, did state during the interview that you know and relate with certain individual, who unlawfully intercepted the Phone Communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, without reporting the said individual to relevant Security agencies and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 27 (b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Amendment, Act, 2024.

“That you, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, adult, male, and other still at large, sometime in 2026, in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this court, with others still at large did use technical equipment or systems which compromised public safety, national security and instilling reasonable apprehension of insecurity among Nigerians by unlawfully intercepting the phone communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to which you admitted during an interview on 13th February, 2026, on Arise TV station’s Prime Time Programme in Abuja and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 131(2) Nigerian Communications Act 2003.”

El-Rufai is currently at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, office, where he is being interrogated over alleged fraud. 

China has announced that it will implement zero-tariff treatment on imports from 53 African countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations, beginning May 1, 2026.

The move, reported by state media on Saturday, is expected to deepen trade ties between China and African nations by granting broader market access to goods exported to the Asian economic powerhouse.

According to the report, the zero-tariff policy will apply to countries that have formal diplomatic relations with China, covering a wide range of products entering the Chinese market.

Authorities also disclosed plans to accelerate negotiations and signing of joint economic partnership agreements with African nations. Beijing is expected to further expand market access for African exports through enhanced trade facilitation mechanisms, including its existing “green channel” initiative designed to fast-track agricultural and other priority goods.

The development signals a major boost for African exporters seeking improved access to one of the world’s largest consumer markets.

Analysts say the policy could significantly increase export volumes from African economies, particularly in agriculture, raw materials, and manufactured goods, while strengthening Beijing’s economic footprint across the continent.

The zero-tariff implementation is scheduled to take effect on May 1, 2026.

A disturbing video circulating online has reportedly shown more than 100 abducted women and children following a deadly attack on Woro village and nearby Nuku communities in Kwara State.

The footage, linked to the February 3 assault, allegedly features captives taken during a raid carried out by suspected Boko Haram fighters said to be under the command of Mallam Sadiku.

Residents said the attackers stormed the communities, killing dozens of villagers who resisted their demands. Some local sources claim the death toll could be as high as 160, although official figures are yet to confirm that number.

The insurgents, in the video, reportedly accused authorities of downplaying the scale of the abductions, insisting that more than 100 people were taken — far above the 20 earlier mentioned in preliminary reports.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq described the incident as a “pure massacre,” condemning the brutal attack on innocent residents.

In response, President Bola Tinubu ordered the deployment of additional security forces to the affected areas, directing the military and other security agencies to intensify rescue operations and restore calm.

Security assessments are ongoing as authorities work to verify casualty figures and locate the abducted victims.

The attack has raised fresh concerns about the expansion of Boko Haram activities into Nigeria’s north-central region, particularly Kwara State, which has not traditionally been a stronghold of the insurgent group.

Families of the missing victims remain in anguish, awaiting updates from security agencies as search and rescue efforts continue.

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, ordered that he be taken into custody upon his arrival in Nigeria.

In a statement addressing his recent airport incident, El-Rufai claimed that Ribadu “made the call and ordered that I must be in custody when I landed.”

He further alleged that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) used the Department of State Services (DSS) to carry out what he described as an abduction, claiming it was part of a broader pattern.

According to El-Rufai, “The ICPC procured the DSS to abduct me for them; this is their modus operandi; they are personal tools of Nuhu Ribadu.”

The former governor also claimed he was informed in advance of the alleged move, suggesting that communications were monitored.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from Ribadu, the ICPC, or the DSS regarding the allegations.

The development adds a new dimension to the ongoing tensions surrounding the former governor’s recent encounter with security operatives.
