The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced a vacancy for the position of Content and Digital Assets Officer (NO-A) in its Nigeria country office, inviting qualified candidates to apply before April 28, 2026.

The role is offered under a Special Short Term Graded contract for an initial duration of six months, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.

Role Overview

According to the vacancy notice, the successful candidate will support the Communications Unit in managing and producing high-quality multimedia content that aligns with IOM’s branding, ethical standards, and strategic communication goals.

Working under the supervision of the Chief of Communications, the officer will oversee content production across formats such as videos, photography, graphics, podcasts, and digital publications.

The role also involves coordinating with field offices and external content creators to ensure storytelling outputs are engaging, donor-compliant, and ethically sound.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support production of multimedia content including videos, photos, and graphics
  • Coordinate storytelling efforts with programme teams and field offices
  • Manage and organize digital assets with proper tagging and consent documentation
  • Liaise with external creatives such as videographers and designers
  • Ensure all content complies with IOM branding and safeguarding policies
  • Assist in creating materials for donor visibility, campaigns, and reports
  • Identify and collaborate with youth content creators and influencers
  • Guide field teams on mobile content creation and storytelling

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess a university degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Film, Digital Media, or a related field, along with at least two years of relevant professional experience in multimedia production or digital communications.

Candidates should demonstrate strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with ethical storytelling, safeguarding principles, and donor visibility requirements is considered essential.

Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Nigerian languages, including Pidgin, is an added advantage.
