The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced a vacancy for the position of Report Writer Consultant Private Sector Engagement in Education, offering a nine-month consultancy contract based in Amman, Jordan, with remote work arrangements.

The position, listed under Job Number 593445, forms part of UNICEF’s Strategic Partnerships Engagement initiative and seeks an experienced consultant to support the organization’s efforts to strengthen private sector participation in education development globally.

According to UNICEF, the consultant will be responsible for producing a high-level report examining how businesses can contribute to improving education outcomes while supporting economic growth and workforce development.

Role and Responsibilities

The selected consultant will lead the development of an evidence-based report that explores the relationship between quality education and long-term economic and consumer market growth.

The report will also identify practical opportunities for private sector involvement as financiers, users, innovators, and brokers of education solutions. In addition, it will provide recommendations for strengthening public-private partnerships in education at both national and international levels.

UNICEF said the report will serve as a foundation for its next-generation private sector engagement strategy in education and is expected to be launched during a high-level global event in the first quarter of 2027.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for the consultancy, applicants must possess a master’s degree in Education Policy, International Development, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related social science disciplines with an education or development focus.

Candidates must also demonstrate at least eight years of experience in writing, editing, and managing high-quality reports for international audiences.

Prior experience engaging with private sector stakeholders is required, while familiarity with global education initiatives such as Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) will be considered an advantage.

UNICEF is also seeking candidates with strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.

Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of another official United Nations language, including Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese, will be considered an asset.
