Speed Darlington, a popular Nigerian singer, comedian, and content creator, has been released on bail after being arrested and detained since Friday, following allegations of cyberstalking by fellow musician Burna Boy.
The controversy began when Speed Darlington made a video about Burna Boy and Diddy, which reportedly led to his arrest by Burna Boy’s team and the police. Speed Darlington’s mother, Queen, took to social media to plead for her son’s release, claiming that Burna Boy was responsible for his disappearance.

After meeting the conditions stipulated by the police, Speed Darlington was released to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, at the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team’s Department in Abuja.
Adeyanju had expressed concerns that the petition filed by Burna Boy did not warrant Speed Darlington’s arrest. “I have met Speed Darlington, and he’s in good spirits. We are working to get him released on bail as soon as possible,” Adeyanju stated.
