Offset Shot at Florida Casino, Rapper Reportedly Stable
American rapper Offset is recovering in hospital after being shot during an incident at a casino in Hollywood on Monday night, April 6.
The incident reportedly occurred around 7 p.m. at a valet area near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, where the former Migos member was said to be present at the time of the shooting.
A spokesperson for the rapper confirmed the development in a statement, noting that Offset born Kiari Kendrell Cephus was shot and is currently receiving medical care. “He is stable and being closely monitored,” the statement added, providing some reassurance to fans and the public.
Authorities have also confirmed the incident. The Seminole Police Department stated that officers responded swiftly to reports of a shooting at the casino’s valet area. According to police, the incident resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to one individual, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement officials added that the situation was quickly contained, with two individuals detained in connection with the incident. Police further assured the public that the area has been secured and that there is no ongoing threat, with normal operations continuing at the casino.
