President Tinubu Arrives in Ankara on State Visit to Türkiye
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Türkiye, on an official state visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic and bilateral relations between both countries.
The Nigerian leader landed at the Ankara Esenboğa Airport, where he was received by a Turkish government delegation led by the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin. President Tinubu was also warmly welcomed by members of his delegation, including Nigerian ministers and senior government officials accompanying him on the visit.
The state visit is expected to focus on key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye, including education, trade, investment, security, and cultural exchange. Discussions between both governments are anticipated to deepen existing partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration.
President Tinubu’s visit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening ties with strategic international partners and expanding its global diplomatic footprint. Further engagements, including high-level meetings with Turkish officials, are scheduled during the course of the visit.
