A fiery confrontation erupted at the weigh-in for the highly-anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, with the boxing legend slapping the YouTube personality across the face.

The incident occurred on Thursday night at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, where the two fighters faced off ahead of their professional bout scheduled for Friday night.

According to eyewitnesses, the altercation began when Paul, 27, stepped on Tyson’s toe while approaching him on stage. Tyson, 58, took exception to the move and retaliated with a swift slap to Paul’s face.

Security personnel quickly intervened to separate the two fighters, but not before Paul fired back with a verbal tirade, vowing to knock Tyson out in their upcoming fight.

“I didn’t even feel it,” Paul said in response to the slap. “He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*** out.”

Tyson, who weighed in at 227.2 pounds, later explained that he was in pain after Paul stepped on his toe and felt compelled to reciprocate.

“I was in my socks and he had on shoes,” Tyson told reporters. “He stepped on my toe because he is a f***ing a–hole. I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose. I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate.”

The highly-anticipated fight between Tyson and Paul is scheduled to take place on Friday night at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, with millions of fans expected to tune in via Netflix.
