Beyoncé Joins Billionaire Club After Record-Breaking Cowboy Carter Tour
Beyoncé has officially entered the billionaire ranks following the massive commercial success of her Cowboy Carter tour, Forbes has confirmed.
The Grammy-winning superstar is now the fifth musician in history to reach billionaire status, joining an elite group that includes Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift. Her husband, Jay-Z, became the first musician to hit the milestone in 2019.
According to Forbes, Beyoncé crossed the billion-dollar threshold after her Cowboy Carter tour generated over $400 million in ticket sales, alongside an estimated $50 million in merchandise revenue. The tour followed her hugely successful Renaissance World Tour, which grossed nearly $600 million in 2023.
While Beyoncé has expanded her business portfolio in recent years — launching haircare brand Cécred, whiskey label SirDavis, and previously leading athleisure brand Ivy Park — Forbes notes that music remains the foundation of her wealth. Touring, her music catalogue and major sponsorship deals continue to be her strongest financial drivers.
Earlier in 2025, Forbes estimated Beyoncé’s net worth at $800 million, predicting she would soon cross the billionaire mark after another major touring cycle. That forecast has now been realised.
Beyond live performances, Beyoncé has also earned significantly from related projects. She produced a concert film from the Renaissance tour and distributed it directly through AMC cinemas, securing nearly half of the film’s $44 million global box office revenue. Additional income came from a Netflix Christmas Day NFL halftime performance and a series of high-profile Levi’s advertising campaigns, together adding tens of millions to her earnings.
In total, Forbes estimates Beyoncé earned $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third highest-paid musician globally this year.
Her 2024 album, Cowboy Carter, was met with widespread critical acclaim and went on to win Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards the first time Beyoncé secured the category after four previous nominations. The album was widely praised for spotlighting and reclaiming the Black roots of country music.
Despite ticket price adjustments at select tour dates, Cowboy Carter still shattered venue records, including at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and Stade de France in Paris. It also recorded the highest top-priced ticket of any artist touring the UK in 2025.
With her latest milestone, Beyoncé further cements her status not only as a global music icon but as one of the most powerful business figures in entertainment.
