Nigeria, Germany Sign Agreement To Accelerate Siemens Power Project
Nigeria and Germany have signed the Presidential Power Initiative agreement in Dubai to enhance electricity supply in Nigeria.
President Bola Tinubu and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz presided over the signing. The agreement, represented by Kenny Anuwe for Nigeria and Nadja Haakansson for Germany, focuses on modernizing and expanding Nigeria’s electric power transmission grid.

Siemens Energy has already delivered crucial equipment worth over 63 million Euros for the project.
The initiative aims to address load demand centers, build new substations, and install thousands of kilometers of transmission lines, with a timeline of 18 to 24 months for full implementation.
The agreement emphasizes technology transfer and training for Nigerian engineers at the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
