President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for another term.

The announcement was made during the 65th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday.

President Tinubu, who first assumed the leadership of ECOWAS in May 2023, urged member states to commit financially to the fight against terrorism in the region.
