Nigerian activist Deji Adeyanju has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, former Sole Administrator of Rivers State, over alleged mismanagement of ₦283.3 billion.

Adeyanju alleged that despite receiving the funds over a six-month period, Ibas carried out only a minor renovation of the State House of Assembly complex, with no major infrastructure projects executed and no public financial records released.

He called for an urgent probe to ensure accountability and transparency in the management of the state’s resources.
