Following the tonnes of complaints, WhatsApp has moved the implementation of its new Privacy Policy to May this year.

When the new WhatsApp Privacy Policy was announced by the Mark Zuckerberg owned brand, tens of millions of users deleted their WhatsApp and installed other messenger Apps like Telegram and Signal.

With the postponement of date to effect the new Privacy Policy, a large number of users will not return to WhatsApp because the damage had already been done.

Brian Acton, who sold WhatsApp to Zuckerberg for $19 billion in 2014 revealed that “at the end of the day, I sold my company. I sold my users’ privacy to a larger benefit. I made a choice and a compromise. And I live with that every day.”

Acton has developed another App, called Signal. Over 50 millions people are already using Signal.
