Veteran Nollywood Actor Ibrahim Chatta Loses Son
Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, has been thrown into mourning following the tragic loss of his son.
The 54-year-old actor announced the heartbreaking news on Saturday via his Instagram page. While confirming the death, Chatta did not disclose the cause of his son’s passing.
Sharing a photo of the late boy, the actor wrote:
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
Following the announcement, colleagues and fans flooded his comment section with messages of condolence and prayers of comfort for the grieving actor.
This sad news comes just days after another Nollywood tragedy, when veteran actress Peju Ogunmola lost her son, Ayomikun Oluwanisola, on Tuesday. Tributes poured in across the industry, with actress Biola Adebayo describing the loss as “devastating and heartbreaking.”
The Nollywood community is once again in mourning as two respected veterans face unimaginable grief within the same week.
