JAMB Releases Results of First 632,788 UTME Candidates
; ….Three in Custody Over Alleged Result Falsification
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of 632,788 candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on Thursday, April 16.
In a statement issued by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the Board confirmed that candidates can now check their results, although printing of result slips is not yet available.
According to the statement, two candidates and one parent are currently in custody for allegedly engaging in result falsification using artificial intelligence and other electronic methods.
JAMB warned that any individual found guilty of malpractice would face the full weight of the law, stressing its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
The Board also reassured candidates and the general public that the UTME exercise is still ongoing, with additional results to be released in batches as they are processed.
Candidates who sat for the examination can check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
