Chris Brown Remanded Over Assault Allegation

American R&B star, Chris Brown, has been remanded in custody by Manchester Magistrates’ Court following an assault charge.
The singer appeared in court on Friday, where Justice Joanne Hirst denied his bail request, citing that the case was beyond the jurisdiction of the Magistrates’ Court. The matter has now been transferred to Southwark Crown Court in London, with the next hearing scheduled for June 13, 2025.
Brown was arrested on Thursday at The Lowry Hotel in Salford in connection with an alleged bottle attack that occurred at Tape nightclub in Mayfair. The incident, which reportedly took place in 2023, involved music executive Abe Diaw.
The musician faces charges of grievous bodily harm after being accused of attacking Diaw with a bottle. Diaw is also seeking $16 million in damages for injuries and other losses related to the incident.
