JP2025: EFCC Questions Iyabo Ojo Over Dollar Spraying at Daughter’s Wedding

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has questioned popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo regarding alleged currency abuse during her daughter’s wedding celebration.
According to Reports, Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, married Tanzanian musician Jux in a high-profile ceremony in Nigeria on April 17, 2025, following an earlier Islamic wedding in Tanzania in February.
The event, which became a major topic online, featured several Nigerian and international celebrities, with footage showing attendees spraying both dollar bills and naira notes.
Responding to growing speculation about her interaction with the EFCC, Iyabo Ojo stated that she appeared before the agency in response to an official invitation and was questioned.
In a post shared on Instagram, she revealed: “They asked about my biodata, career, work history, and the companies I’m affiliated with.”
She added, “They asked if I knew spraying money was illegal, and I replied that I only believed defacing the naira was a crime.”
“The EFCC then informed me that spraying any currency, including the dollar, on people is prohibited. This was news to me,” she said.
