Osimhen Reportedly Rejects €40m (N58b)-per-Year Offer from Al-Hilal
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has turned down a massive €40 million-per-year offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, according to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba (Onyebuchi Onokala).
Buchi Laba revealed on X that the offer was identical to the one Al-Hilal made last summer, which Osimhen initially accepted before Napoli altered their financial terms, causing the deal to fall through.
“Excl: Victor Osimhen officially turns down Saudi club Al Hilal’s first offer. It was the same offer they made last year,” Buchi posted.
He also mentioned that an unnamed Italian club is ready to match Osimhen’s salary expectations, while Turkish giants Galatasaray are also pushing hard for his signature. “RC [release clause] not a problem,” he added.
“Excl: Victor Osimhen officially turns down Saudi club Al Hilal first offer. It was the same offer they made last year. Also a club from Italy is keen and ready to Pay Victor what he wants in wages. Lastly, Galatasaray too are pushing heavy for his signature. RC not a Problem.“
Despite the initial rejection, Al-Hilal remain determined to sign the Nigerian striker and are willing to activate his €70 million release clause.
They reportedly expect a final answer from Osimhen by Friday as they look to finalize the deal ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
FIFA has opened a special transfer window from June 1-10, allowing teams to make roster additions ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup.
It’s an unprecedented move to allow players to swap clubs this early in the offseason. Still, with the marquee event beginning in just over two weeks on June 14, they opted to open the window so teams could bolster their core ahead of the competition.
However according to Galatasaray insider BONA NAIJA learnt, Serdar Ali Çelikler, has named Al Hilal as the final destination for Victor Osimhen.
According to him, unless the Saudi Pro League side withdrawal their interest in the player.
This is despite speculation linking Osimhen with Chelsea and Manchester United.
Manchester United are said to have held internal discussions about the Nigerian attacker as a possible recruit this summer.
Not much has been, however, heard from Chelsea despite that the Blues were heavily linked with the striker last summer.
Osimhen scored 37 goals and made eight assists in 41 games across all competitions for Galatasaray.
Speaking on the Neo Spor Youtube channel, via habersarikirmizi, Çelikler said the striker is going to Saudi Arabia.
“Unless Al-Hilal withdraws its offer, Victor Osimhen will go there,” said Çelikler.
“Galatasaray cannot pay a salary of 35 million Euros, as far as I know and see. If Osimhen stays at Galatasaray for a salary of 20 million Euros, then we say ‘Well done’. Now Osimhen has a week to 10 days to make a decision.”
According to reports Al Hilal has tabled an offer worth €30 million per year (approximately N54 billion).

Arsenal Reclaims Premier League Lead with 1-0 Win Over Fulham

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, thanks to Leandro Trossard’s second-half strike from a well-worked set piece.
Leandro Trossard scored the decisive goal in the 58th minute, converting a clever corner routine initiated by Bukayo Saka and flicked on by Gabriel Magalhães. The goal secured three vital points for Mikel Arteta’s side, who now sit three points clear at the top of the table.
The win also extended Arsenal’s remarkable defensive record — the Gunners have now gone two consecutive matches without conceding a shot on target, a feat they last achieved during their 2003–04 “Invincibles” season.
Arsenal’s dominance from set pieces continues to pay dividends, with 10 of their 15 league goals this season coming from dead-ball situations.
Bukayo Saka delivered another standout performance, winning 14 duels and creating six chances, underlining his growing influence in Arsenal’s title charge.
Fulham, meanwhile, struggled to find attacking rhythm throughout the contest, as Arsenal’s high press and disciplined backline restricted them to speculative efforts from distance.
