Jude Ojeogwu, father of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has accepted his daughter’s marriage to Ned Nwoko.

In 2019, Ojeogwu kicked against the marriage citing age differences.

Regina, 20, married Nwoko, who is a 59-year-old politician, in 2019.

At the naming ceremony that held in Abuja on Friday, the couple named their new baby, Munir Neji Ned Nwoko.

The baby’s christening was graced by several Nollywood stars including Segun Arinze, Fred Amata and Rita Edochie.

Addressing journalists at the event, Ojeogwu said the baby’s arrival has made him to accept his daughter’s marriage as the will of God

“The birth of this child has answered the question (about the controversy); everybody craves for peace, joy and happiness. I have accepted everything,” he said.

“I feel very happy having a grandchild and that is why I am here. I travelled all the way from Lagos to this place just to celebrate with the family. I told him (Nwoko) and the mother to call him Ifechukwude which means what God has written”.

The couple welcomed their baby on June 29.
