Gerard Adebija has been evicted from Big Brother Naija Season 11, becoming the eighth housemate to leave the “Show Ya Sef” reality show.

Gerard’s eviction was announced by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the live eviction show on Sunday, September 6, 2026, bringing his six-week journey in the house to an end. He was among 15 housemates nominated for possible eviction in Week Six.

The eviction means 16 housemates remain in the competition as the reality show enters its seventh week. The winner of the season is competing for the record ₦160 million prize package, comprising ₦100 million in cash and an SUV.

Gerard’s BBNaija Journey

Gerard was one of the 24 housemates who entered the Big Brother house when Season 11 premiered on July 26.

During his time on the show, he became involved in several of the season’s major storylines, including his relationship with fellow housemate Kamsy and his repeated attempts to win the Head of House title.

He also played an active role in house tasks and strategic conversations. In Week Six, Gerard once again came close to becoming Head of House, reaching the final round of the challenge before losing to Abi.

On eviction night, Gerard joined Ebuka on stage following his exit and reflected on his experience in the competition. He expressed appreciation for the platform and indicated that he intends to continue developing his career in acting, broadcasting and content creation.

Gerard becomes the eighth housemate to leave the competition through eviction, although the overall number of departures is higher because Neche voluntarily exited the show.

The eviction order is:

1. Martins Iyeh — evicted on August 9, 2026
2. Ijeoma “Mercedes” Emi — evicted on August 9, 2026
3. Kamsy Uzoma — evicted on August 16, 2026
4. Cassi Ezenwoke Nwosu — evicted on August 23, 2026
5. Sultex — evicted on August 30, 2026
6. Goddessa — evicted on August 30, 2026
7. Gerard Adebija — evicted on September 6, 2026

The first two evictions of the season came during a double eviction night, with Martins polling 1.63 per cent of the votes and Mercedes receiving 2.29 per cent.

Kamsy subsequently became the third evicted housemate after receiving 2.41 per cent of the public vote. Cassi followed in Week Four after receiving 5.27 per cent of the votes.

Week Five produced another double eviction, with Sultex and Goddessa leaving the competition on August 30.

Neche’s Voluntary Exit

One important distinction is Neche (Chinaecherem Maduagwu).

Neche is not counted among the eight evicted housemates because she voluntarily left the competition on August 16, shortly after Kamsy’s eviction. She had previously won the Week Three Head of House title.

Therefore, eight housemates have now been evicted, while Neche is the ninth housemate to have left the house overall.

What Happens Next?

With Gerard’s departure, the remaining 16 housemates will enter another week of nominations, Head of House battles, tasks, alliances and possible eviction.

The Season 11 competition, tagged “Show Ya Sef” with the tagline “Everything Is For The Taking,” began with 24 housemates on July 26.

Gerard’s exit further narrows the field as the remaining contestants continue their battle for the ₦160 million grand prize.
