BREAKING: Kano Hisbah Boss Resigns Amid Controversy Over Arrest Of TikToker, Kunya
Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, has resigned.
The announcement came via his Facebook page on Friday.
Known for upholding morality, particularly among TikTokers, Sheikh Daurawa cited frustration with challenges in fulfilling his responsibilities.
His resignation coincided with his participation in a retreat organized by the Kano State House of Assembly.
Speculation surrounds the timing of his departure, especially in light of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s recent criticism of the Hisbah Board’s approach.
The resignation follows controversy over the arrest and trial of a female TikToker, Murja Kunya, in the state.
