Siminalayi Fubara Writes Rivers State House of Assembly, Seeks Approval for Nine Commissioner Nominees

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has formally written to the Rivers State House of Assembly, requesting the screening and confirmation of nine nominees for appointment as commissioners.

The development was disclosed in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.

According to the post, the nominees include:

• Mr. Tonye Bellgam
• Prof. Temple Nwofor
• Dr. Peters Nwagor
• Mrs. Charity Deemua
• Tamuno Williams (Esq.)
• Mr. Lekue Kenneth
• Otonye TKD Amachree (Esq.)
• Sir Amairigha Edward Hart

Assembly Directives to Nominees

Meanwhile, the Rivers State House of Assembly has directed the nominees to comply with documentation requirements ahead of their screening.

In a notice signed by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi, PhD., the nominees were instructed to submit 40 copies of their curriculum vitae along with photocopies of their credentials.

They were also directed to provide evidence of tax compliance and submit all required documents to the Office of the Clerk at the House of Assembly Quarters.

The screening and confirmation process is expected to commence once the documentation requirements have been met, in line with legislative procedures guiding appointments into the State Executive Council.
