One Legacy: JCI Nigeria Moses Kadeer Officer’s Training School Ends in Keffi

Annually Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nigeria organize officer’s Training School for her members and officers who assumed Office at the beginning of the year.

The officers and members go through series of trainings on capacity building to prepare them with basic knowledge and skills needed in handling their positions in the organization effectively.

The Moses Kadeer officer’s Training School is one among the annual events organized at the beginning of the year which usually takes place at various states in the Northern part of the country.

This year, the Officers Training (OTS) School took place in Keffi, Nasarawa State where Nasarawa State University Keffi played host.

The training took place over the weekend from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th and had in attendance participants from various Chapters of JCI both City and Collegiate members from higher institutions across the Northern region and as well other parts of the country.

The main activities started on Friday 28 of January with Employability Workshop tagged “Life after School” facilitated by Dr Seun Robinson, a brand Ambassador, author and Coach and Dr Hameed Adediran, Managing Partner/CEO Rolling Stones Consultancy.

This was followed by a training on Strategies for successful Local organization management by Dr Japhet Erasmus and Aina Segun Aina, Head of training, skills and career support centre.

The third day featured series of Training sessions on JCI New direction and ONE Legacy and Strategic session by JCI Sen. Richard Ojo, JCI Vice President, JCI Nigeria President, Olawale Bakare and JCI Nigeria Executive Vice President, North-West, Ibrahim Tiamiyu.

At the end of each training participants were grouped and given task which they collectively worked on and made presentations.

Highlight of the day was the visit to the Emir of Keffi, HRH Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, Sarkin Keffi led by the National President, JCI Nigeria, JCIN Amb. Olawale Bakare alongside officers and Members.

The event ended with the area council of Presidents meeting in the evening featuring, presentation of Award Plaques to the trainers, presentation of Plan of action by various chapter presidents and flagoff of the PVC campaign aimed at encouraging registeration of PVC and also conferment of the host President, Muhammed Hamza and the Immediate Past President, Aminu Alkali with the title of JCI Nigeria Councilor to commend their effort in successfully hosting the event.

On a lighter note, the event came to an end with a party to celebrate the success of the 2022 Moses Kadeer officer’s Training School.
