Photos: CAPIPIN Marks Independence Day with Peace Advocacy at Madonna Model School
The Citizens Advocacy for Peace Is Possible in Nigeria (CAPIPIN) on Tuesday joined students of Madonna Model School Abuja to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day with a special peace advocacy program.
The highlight of the celebration was an interactive peace talk where the organization engaged the students on the importance of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. The session featured a lively question-and-answer segment, allowing students to share their views and ask thought-provoking questions on how peace can be nurtured in schools and communities.
In recognition of the students’ participation, CAPIPIN also presented gifts to outstanding contributors during the program, encouraging them to become young ambassadors of peace.
According to the organizers, the initiative is part of the group’s ongoing campaign to instill the values of peace and civic responsibility in young Nigerians, starting from the grassroots.
During his remarks Mr Chibuike Ajumobi, the founder of CAPIPIN emphasized the need to understand that culture plays an important role in maintaining peace in any society or the country.
CAPIPIN is a non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering peace, promoting conflict resolution, and empowering youth across Nigeria. Established with the core belief that peace is a fundamental right and a catalyst for sustainable development, the organization actively engages young people through innovative campaigns, educational programs, and community-driven initiatives.
