VIDEO: Comfort Emmanson Speaks After Prison Release, Shares Side of Ibom Air Incident
Comfort Emmanson has finally broken her silence following her release from prison, narrating in detail what transpired between her and an Ibom Air flight attendant an encounter that sparked widespread debate after a viral video showed her being forcefully escorted off the aircraft.
According to Emmanson, the issue began shortly after she boarded the plane. A flight attendant instructed her to switch off her phones. She explained that one of the devices had a faulty power button and asked for assistance. The attendant declined to handle the phone directly, instead suggesting that she shut it down via the settings menu. Eventually, a male passenger seated beside her helped her turn it off.
The matter appeared resolved until after the plane landed. Emmanson recalled stepping into the restroom just as another passenger came out, only to return and find most of the passengers had already disembarked. As she prepared to leave, the same flight attendant stopped her, insisting she could not exit.
Confused, Emmanson said she switched her phone back on to record the exchange. At that point, she alleged, the attendant pulled her hair, seized her belongings, and damaged her phone in the scuffle.
Security personnel intervened shortly after, escorting her out of the aircraft — the scene that was captured in the viral video.
