With just seven days left, anticipation is reaching fever pitch as celebrated Nigerian comedian and master of ceremonies Henry Okwudili Ugwoke, popularly known as Igwe De MC, prepares to host his landmark “Jokes Apart” Comedy Extravaganza in the United Kingdom.

The highly anticipated event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Novotel Hotel, Southampton, England, marking 20 years of Igwe De MC’s remarkable journey in the entertainment industry.

Although he studied Medical Radiography and Radiological Sciences at the University of Nigeria, his passion for entertainment saw him establish himself as one of Nigeria’s most respected event hosts and comedians.

Over the years, he has hosted numerous high-profile events across Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom, where he continues to build his brand across Europe. He also previously served as President of the Association of Enugu State Comedians and MCs (ASSESCOM), contributing significantly to the development of the comedy industry in the state.
