Reece James Signs Six-Year Chelsea Extension Until 2032
Chelsea FC star Reece James has committed his future to the club, signing a six-year contract extension that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2032.
The 26-year-old England right-back, a product of Chelsea’s academy since the age of six, has been a mainstay for the Blues, despite battling injuries in recent seasons. This campaign saw James feature in 35 matches—his highest in a single season since 2020—demonstrating his importance to the team.
“I’m living the dream,” James said after putting pen to paper. “I want my peak years at the club I’ve always loved. Chelsea is home, and I want to give everything for this badge.”
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior hailed James as one of the world’s best in his position and praised his leadership on and off the pitch. With 225 appearances for the club and major trophies, including the 2021 UEFA Champions League, James has become a symbol of loyalty for fans.
The extension not only rewards his performances but also provides stability for Chelsea as the club enters a new phase of rebuilding and ambitions to compete at the highest level domestically and in Europe.
