A plane carrying 181 passengers crashed and burst into flames after landing at an airport in Muan, South Korea.

The Jeju Air flight was returning from Bangkok, Thailand, when it veered off the runway due to malfunctioning landing gear, hit a fence, and caught fire.

According to reports, the crash left at least 90 people dead or injured, with two people evacuated to safety. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the number of casualties is expected to rise.

The fire has been extinguished, but the airplane was “almost completely destroyed” by the flames.

The plane, a 15-year-old Boeing 737-800 jet, was carrying 175 passengers and six crew members when it crashed at 9:03 a.m. local time.
