Enugu Guber: Father Mbaka Blasts Ugwuanyi for Bringing Back Ebeano
Catholic priest and the spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has lamented the choice of governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu State.
During the primary conducted by the ruling party in the state last week, Peter Mbah emerged as the flagbearer.
But Mbaka who is an influential voice in Enugu has not hidden his disappointment with the outcome, blaming the governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for bringing former governor Senator Chimaroke Nnamani and his cohorts back to the mainstream of Enugu politics because Mbah is a core member of the popular Ebeano political family founded by Nnamani.
Mbah had served in the State as Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance during the tenure of Senator Nnamani.
Mbaka and Nnamani had a long battle while the latter was the governor of Enugu State between 1999 and 2007.
Mbah polled a total of 790 votes to defeat Chijioke Edeoga who got 9 votes. Chukwunta Gilbert got one vote while Chinyeaka Oha got 3 votes.
