DSS Dismisses 115 Officers, Cautions Public Against Fake Personnel
The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of its ongoing internal reforms aimed at strengthening professionalism and integrity within the Service.
In a statement released on its official website, the DSS said the action follows a series of disciplinary reviews and accountability measures conducted over a period.
The Service also cautioned the public against engaging with individuals posing as DSS officials, including some of those dismissed.
According to the statement, this warning follows earlier disclaimers issued on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, who were identified for fraudulent activities carried out while impersonating DSS personnel.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealings with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service,” the statement read.
For clarity and transparency, the DSS noted that the names and details of the affected personnel have been published on its official website — www.dss.gov.ng/media/more/4.
The agency further urged citizens to verify any suspicious claims or operations and report such cases directly to the Service.
