The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, will be flown abroad for medical treatment due to injuries sustained during a scuffle in Imo State.

This development was disclosed by the NLC publicity secretary, Benson Upah.

Ajaero had gone to Owerri to mobilize workers for a protest rally but the peaceful protest turned violent, and he was injured.

The injuries are severe, necessitating treatment abroad since they cannot be treated at the Federal Medical Centre in Owerri.
