Swedish transport companies are set to explore business and technology opportunities in Singapore as part of a delegation focused on autonomous vehicles, smart infrastructure and electric transport.

The delegation, organised by Business Sweden, will visit Singapore from November 3 to 6, 2026, under the Urban Mobility Days programme, which coincides with the inaugural Singapore Urban Mobility Week.

The programme is expected to connect Swedish companies with Singaporean businesses, government agencies and research institutions to explore potential partnerships and opportunities in the urban transport sector.

According to Business Sweden, Singapore is exploring emerging transport technologies to address workforce shortages, reduce emissions and improve the use of limited urban space.

Key areas of interest include self-driving vehicles, electric transport and logistics systems designed to improve the efficiency of urban mobility.

Swedish Delegation to Meet Singapore Transport Stakeholders

The Urban Mobility Days programme will feature visits to local organisations, business meetings and a reception at the Swedish residence. Delegates will also attend the Singapore Urban Mobility Week exhibition.

The activities are designed to help participating Swedish companies understand Singapore’s transport priorities, engage with local stakeholders and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Business Sweden said the programme would be tailored to the composition of the delegation, although its published schedule does not identify the participating companies.

Building on Sweden-Singapore Transport Cooperation

The visit builds on a 2024 agreement between the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, and Singapore’s Land Transport Authority.

Transport cooperation formed part of the agreements reached during the Swedish King’s state visit to Singapore in 2024, according to a previous report by ScandAsia.

The latest initiative highlights continued opportunities for cooperation between Sweden and Singapore in developing transport systems that incorporate digital technologies, electrification and automation.

As cities worldwide seek more efficient and sustainable mobility solutions, the engagement could provide Swedish companies with opportunities to showcase their expertise and explore partnerships in Singapore’s evolving transport market.
