#Coronavirus Outbreak; SDG Global Festival of Action Postponed

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Global Festival of Action slated to hold in Bonn Germany from April 1-3rd has been Postponed due to COVID-19 OUTBREAK (corona virus outbreak).

The statement released by the organizers (The UN Global Festival of Action Team) and mailed us reads;

Dear Festival Partner,

In light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak and of our commitment to safety and well-being of SDG partners globally and in Bonn, we have made the difficult decision – in consultation with the German Federal Government, local authorities and other key stakeholders – to postpone the SDG Global Festival of Action.
This has been a difficult decision to make, not only because the Festival is one of the most inspiring annual events raising the visibility and impact of SDG actions from across the globe, but also because the Festival is designed by and for the SDG Action community. The recognition of the tremendous effort, time and energy invested in the Festival by all our sessions hosts, speakers, participants and partners made the decision even harder.
We are exploring new dates and will announce these as soon as possible.
In the event that you need to provide an official letter for your travel insurance or travel and accommodation providers to change bookings, please see the attached letter or download it here.
For further information please see our FAQs.
Thank you again for your incredible commitment and support, thank you also for your understanding of this complex and challenging situation. Please accept our most sincere apologies for any inconvenience and disruption that this decision may cause to you and/or your organization.
New dates will be announced as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
The UN SDG Action Campaign team
