CIRDDOC Nigeria has announced a new job vacancy for the position of Head of Finance as the organization seeks an experienced professional to oversee its financial operations and donor-funded projects.

The reputable non-governmental organization, known for promoting human rights, democracy, access to justice, and good governance in Nigeria, said the role is part-time and open to candidates residing in or willing to work from Enugu or Awka.

According to the organization, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, manage budgeting and reporting processes, ensure donor compliance, and supervise the finance and administration team.

Applicants are expected to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting alongside an ICAN certification. CIRDDOC also requires a minimum of five years’ experience in financial management, including at least three years in NGO accounting.

The organization noted that experience working with international donors such as USAID, the EU, and the UN will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Finance will:

• Develop and implement financial strategies
• Oversee budgeting, payroll, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations and local laws
• Prepare financial reports for management and donors
• Manage grant finances across multiple projects
• Supervise finance and administrative staff
• Maintain internal controls and conduct financial audits

Requirements for Applicants

• BSc in Finance or Accounting
• ICAN certification
• Knowledge of NGO accounting and donor regulations
• Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or related software
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
