Nnewi South Local Government Area in Anambra State has been set ablaze by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Thursday.
The Anambra Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu when contacted said that “It is a suspected case of arson.”

He added that “the information is still sketchy but the command has since deployed operatives in the area and fire service has also been contacted.
“The area has been cordoned off and further details shall be communicated please.”

This isn’t the first time the area is witnessing the destruction by these gunmen, on October 3rd, 2021 they attacked the offices of the Directorate of State Services (DSS) and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the local government.
