Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, has declared July 9 as Eid Al-Adha.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday evening by the National Moonsighting Committee, the sultan urged Musims to intensify prayers during the period.
“Eidul Adha will be on Saturday, 10th Zul-Hijjah 1443H (9th July 2022) In Sha Allah,” the statement reads.
“His Eminence, The Sultan, hereby calls upon the Muslim Ummah to intensify efforts in acts of worship during the first ten days of the blessed month of Zul-Hijjah.
