Again, Fulani herdsmen invaded Nimbo Village, Killed four people and left many injured.
Yesterday, Sunday 28th April 2024, the people of Nimbo Community in Uzo-Uwani LGA witnessed another brutal attack by murder0us Fulani herders. Four people were reportedly killed, including a kid, and many were injured.

While confirming the incident, an indigene of the community stated that the incident took place at Ugwu Ijoro village around evening time. The herders invaded the village and started shooting sporadically. Many sustained various degrees of serious injuries on the process and four people were shot dead by the herders.
No arrest has been made so far as the herders reportedly fled the village after the attack.
It could be recalled that a similar incident (Nimbo massacre) took place at Ukpabi-Nimbo, the same community on 25th April 2016.

Since then, Enugu State government hasn’t done anything to protect the people of the community from Fulani herders, which gave room for the ugly incident to be repeated after 8 years.
Herders reported to be carrying out different heinous crimes in the area such as kidnapping, armed robbery, killing etc without any resistance or action from the government to stop them.
Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, kindly take a pragmatic action to stop these herdsmen from tormenting our people. How long will our people continue to die in the hands of herdsmen.
I’m Apostle Enyi.

Nimbo was also attacked in 2016, leading to the death of scores which attracted nationwide outrage then.
