The DJ had written, “What is going on? 14 months to yet another election and the youths still haven’t come forward with a representative. If the older politicians are proactive and already have candidates, then we need not complain with what we end up with. Wake up Nigeria. Wake up.” (sic)

In response, Edochie said, “My dear brother @djbign I saw your post this morning about the youths not presenting a candidate yet.

“Thank you so much for your concern. My name is Yul Edochie and I’m running for President of Nigeria in 2023. I declared my interest months ago.

“I humbly ask for your support. I believe that by posting me on your page, putting in a few words and supporting us through every other means at your disposal, our movement will gain more momentum, and certainly many others will join.

“Victory awaits us. Thank you brother. God bless you. God bless Nigeria.”

Dj Big N in turn replied him thus:

My Dear Brother @yuledochie , I got your message. Udo. It’s admirable that you have come out to contest for the 2023 elections. I must say it’s a step in the right direction. I remember seeing this somewhere on the internet over a year ago. Here’s my problem, it’s been over a year the intention has been made, but not until now am I recalling that your intentions were made. This problem is a big one. It’s one that has to be analyzed critically and given a serious “hands on” approach. I’d like to know the party you are campaigning under. Do they have registered secretariats in all states? I’m sure we know the rules of forming or creation of new parties in Nigeria. Or I’ll assume you would be running under an already formed party. While I know we have day jobs, If we are running for elections, we. Need to breathe, eat and sleep campaigns by now. Look at other parties, their candidates are well known to us. You seem to have the best interest of the common Nigerian at hand. I also admire your sternness/austerity. I wish you good luck and God’s guidance in this race. But we have to remember “The Whole is greater than the sum of its parts”

God Bless You
God Bless Nigeria

Edochie earlier declared his intention to run for presidency in May 2021, where he vowed to “wipe the tears of the masses and establish real peace, unity, and progress.”

However, the question is – Is Yul Edochiethe consensus candidate of Nigerian Youth? this is left for Nigerian youths to decide.
