President Bola Tinubu has nominated Louis Odion as Executive Commissioner, Operations, and Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services, of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
The nominations, announced on Wednesday, are subject to Senate confirmation in line with the provisions of the FCCPC Act, 2018.

Odion, from Edo State, is a veteran journalist and former Senior Technical Assistant to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Media. He previously served as Commissioner for Information in Edo State. He holds two master’s degrees in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, and International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Ummasalma Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on education, skills development, and humanitarian support for underprivileged communities. A graduate of Business Administration, she is known for her grassroots political engagement, advocacy for inclusive governance, and promotion of youth and women’s political participation.
