Subsidy: Tinubu Meets Shettima, Akpabio, Governors Over Fuel Hike
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday met with Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and some governors to finalize arrangements on the distribution of palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.
The meeting held at the President’s office had in attendance the Governors of Imo, Kwara, Lagos, and Ogun State.

Special adviser to the President on special duties, communications and strategy, Dele Alake said the President remain committed to address the economic challenges occasioned by the removal of the Fuel Subsidy.
Also at the meeting was the Former governor of Kano State Abdullahi Ganduje.
The presidency had earlier announced the distribution of grains and fertilizers to farmers also as part of measures to boost food security in the country.
