Pigba Kasa Community benefits from JCI Abuja Unity Health Outreach (photos)

JCI Abuja Unity one of the local organization of Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCI) a global network of young active citizens who in line with her creed believes that service to humanity is the best work of life, kicked off the year 2020 with a Health Outreach as her first project for the year on the 25th of January at Pigba – Kasa, a community in AMAC, FCT Abuja.

The health outreach project was in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with focus on Goal 3 “Good Health and Well-being”

The Objectives was to provide the Pigba kasa rural community at Apo free medical care and distribute relief materials to the vulnerables among them.

JCI Abuja Unity in partnership with Sam Empowerment Foundation, Stitch’sAid Foundation, Mercy Michael Foundation, Mariecare Initiative, Peach Aid Medical Initiative, CELADE, 1808 Foundation, A Well Woman Network UK, Proventio Consultants, and Mmayen’s Kitchen to provide the following services; Malaria Testing, BP and Sugar Checking, HIV Testing Services, Medical Check up Counselling, Antenatal Services, Distribution of Albendazoe and multivitamins, Deworming exercise for children, Free Doctor’s Consultation, and distribution of relief materials.

About 2,000 men, women, youths and children benefited from the free medical outreach and relief materials. The community leader and other stakeholders expressed their gratitude to JCI Abuja Unity and prayed for more of the laudable project in their community.
