Thousands of supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, who are also known as Obidients, stormed the streets of Calabar on Monday, October 3, in a rally in support of the candidate and the party ahead of the 2023 elections.
The supporters who were drawn from various support groups across the state converged at Eleven-eleven from where they marched through major streets also known as Carnival route such as Mary Slessor, Marian Road, MCC, and Murtala Mohammed Highway.
The rally caused traffic gridlock for some hours with security personnel ensuring orderliness.

They chanted, “Freedom has come finally. Youths should seize this God-sent opportunity and vote in Mr Peter Obi and DattiBaba-Ahmed.”
