Hunting Down Gays in Nigeria
The clamp down took another turn recently as it has been reported that about 45 Suspect has been arrested and will be charged to court in days to come.
An anonymous source told us that this new clamp down started after an influencial oil tycoon Chief Sir Ezeike made a report to the police about his Son Ekene Kenneth who use to manage his projects in his company, now studying oversea decided to move in with his long time partner.
It is rumored that Chief Sir Ezeike is not happy and he is determined to teach them a lesson.The special attention being giving to this case and clamping down on gays by the police show’s how much of a priority authorities put on hunting down gays.
Authorities have refused to speak further on the case to the media. As every move is to silence gays as it is forbidden in the country and African culture frowns at such.
The Nigerian anti-gay law became effective on January 13, 2014. The law, which contains penalties of up to 14 years in prison and bans gay marriage, same-sex “amorous relationships” and membership of gay rights groups, was passed by the national assembly in May of 2013.
