Fire Engulfs Emir of Kano’s Palace

A devastating fire broke out at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, on Saturday morning, July 13, 2024. The incident occurred at the outer court of the palace, known as Kofar Kudu, located at Gidan Rumfa.

According to a statement released by Munir Bayero, the Chief of Staff to the Emir, the fire caused minimal damage, and fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

The palace is taking all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of the palace and its occupants. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway, and steps are being taken to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
