Chelsea Football Club has announced the signing of Dario Essugo, a 20-year-old midfielder from Sporting CP. The transfer is expected to bolster Chelsea’s midfield with Essugo’s youth and talent.
According to reports, Essugo has signed a long-term contract with Chelsea until June 2033. The transfer fee was reportedly €22.3 million.
Essugo, who has represented Portugal at various youth levels, joins Chelsea from Sporting CP, where he made his professional debut at 16. He has also had loan spells at Chaves and Las Palmas.
This signing is part of Chelsea’s active transfer window, with the club focusing on youth and future squad development.
