WHY APC NEEDS HON EMMA ENEUKWU AS THE DEPUTY NATIONAL CHAIRMAN SOUTH

The Enugu born Political leader, In his entire sojourn in the
political landscape had given greater service in party administrations & party politics.

After graduation from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka,& other educational qualifications in1993, Eneukwu worked briefy with Hydrotech International Ltd,a firm reputed for water borehole & other engineering works as business manager.

In 1997 he formed his own company TONUEL VENTURES NIG LTD, where he majored in water reticulations & other business of interests.

Having amassed a lot of experience in the private sector, In 1993 Hon Emma Eneukwu joined politics and was elected as a local Government Secretary of Udi under National Republican convention ( NRC) & where he was later elected as the leader of all local Government secretaries of the party in Anambra state.

In 1997,he participated in the founding of a political party called CONGRESS FOR NATIONAL CONSENSUS(CNC) & was elected as the first state chairman. A position he served until the dissolution of the then five political parties,known as ” the five leprous fingers’ under Gen Abacha of blessed memory.

In 1998,he participated in the formation of All Peoples Party (APP) & in 1999, was elected as the first state chairman of APP.
The party later merged with a faction of UNCP led by Rear Admiral Augustus Aikhomu of blessed memory in 2002 & was christened ANPP.
Hon Eneukwu Was again, re elected as the state chairman Based on his commendable track records.

In 2004, the 36 state Chairmen & Fct elected him as chairman of committee of state Chairmen under ANPP, a position he used and worked so marvellously, that all the Chairmen insisted that he should run for National Chairmanship of the party.

He heeded to some wise counsels & declined the offer, but contested & won overwhelmingly in 2007, where he was elected as the National Publicity Secretary of the party at their convention.

During these periods, the leadership of ANPP saw his innate leadership qualities in party administration & assigned him to work in different subcommittees either as the chairman or secretary.
Some of the subcommittees he worked under includes; National rebuilding & Reconciliation committee, where he served as secretary, National Contact & Mobilisation committee, where he also served as secretary, ANPP Editorial board, where he served as chairman and so on.

In 2013,when ANPP started discussions on merger ,Hon Eneukwu was nominated to be in the delegations with HE sen Ahmed Sani Yerima,HE Sen Adamu Aliero,HE Sen Kabiru Gaya,HE Sen Sherff(SAS) & other prominent leaders of the party.

When the merger was agreed upon under the leadership of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, who was the National Chairman of the party, Eneukwu was nominated to serve as the National Secretary of the convention Committee during a meeting that held in Zamfara state; where the party obtained ratification to be a part of the merger with ACN,CPC & other political groups.

During the merger arrangement,he was nominated as a member of the Central merger Committee & also member of Publicity sub Committee.
He was also a convener of the party APC in Enugu state in 2013.

During the formation of the interim management Committee of the party, he became the National Welfare Secretary, a position he held until 2014, when APC held her National convention.
At the Convention, he was elected the first National Vice chairman South East & re elected overwhelmingly in 2018 as a result of his selfless & unquantifiable contributions to the growth & development of the party in d South East.
He worked assiduously for the convertion of several leaders from other opposition parties to APC & has an attitude of keeping everybody abreast with developments in the party hierarchy.

Hon Eneukwu convened zonal meetings at least bi monthly & encouraged party members to participate physically & financially in elections provided the elections involved APC members across the zone( collective responsibilities).
He harmonised very Sharp factions in the zone especially Abia & Ebonyi states; where he brought the factions together, with the aim of pursuing elections as a united party.

In all these political journey, he never changed his political party or was found wanting in any assignment given to him. His humility is unassailable & he carries his assignments with dignity & respect to humanity.
He served in the Government committee for distribution of federal boards & Parastatals in 2017,also in the presidential inauguration committee in 2019 for the second coming of HE President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR),Commander-in chief of the armed forces & president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is the board Chairman of Aminu Kano teaching hospital,Kano,where his administration changed the face of the hospital beyond recognition & in October 14th 2021,the president magnanimously appointed him as the Chairman,Governing board of Project Development Institute(PRODA) Enugu.

During his short period in this institute,the difference is becoming glaringly clearer.
He has restored industrial harmony & peace & the spate of factionalisation has been reduced to the barest minimum.

APC in the South needs this humble, disciplined & experienced administrator, who would certainly make a clear difference in the political engineering of the party in the Southern part of Nigeria & the country as a whole.
