Suspension of CJN Onnoghen, due process should be followed – Prince Chibuike Echem

The National Vice President (South East)  of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Prince Chibuike Echem has called on the federal government to ensure due process is followed in removing CJN Onnoghen . In a  press statement obtained by BONA NAIJA  he pointed out that constitutional provisions and process should be used in removing  the CJN .

“My pain in all of these CJN saga is  the fact  that  Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and his wife who is said to be a SAN and Prof of Law, a man who have seen God’s grace and blessing to sit close and watch democracy destroyed right in  his face. This is why God may not count on many Christians to the deliverance of this nation.

Should we support the case against the CJN? Capital NO, but constitutional provisions and process should be used in removing him. If the man have done wrong and the due process of the law have been followed, he should be made to face the law.

The wrong foundation most of our leaders are laying for the coming generation is heart breaking, I believe that the
CJN can be anybody, it doesn’t matter where he is from, but constitutional provisions and process must be followed, so that wrong knowledge is not passed.

As young people of this great country we are watching and keeping records of happenings in our society and government, we may not understand the interpretation of the law, but sure have common sense. Our authorities must understand that there is posterity”
