PHOTOS: Dantata’s funeral prayer holds in Kano, burial in Saudi Arabia

A special Islamic funeral prayer, known as Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano on Saturday in honour of the late business icon and philanthropist, Aminu Dantata, who passed away in Dubai at 94.

A special Islamic funeral prayer, known as Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano on Saturday in honour of the late business icon and philanthropist, Aminu Dantata, who passed away in Dubai at 94.

The prayer at the Umar Bin Khattab Mosque in Kano metropolis was led by Ibrahim Khalil, Chairman of the Kano State Council of Ulamas.

It was attended by thousands of mourners, including top dignitaries including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.

Dantata is expected to be buried near his late wife in Madinah, Saudi Arabia in accordance with his will.
